The story goes around Kamui, a fugitive ninja, who was seeking for freedom. As a fugitive ninja, he was being hunt by another ninja because he held a secret that should not be taken outside the tribe. His life as a ninja made him love and trust nobody. But then, he once found freedom he had been longing for when he joined Hanbei, a fisherman whom he met accidentally, to fishermans island. He help Hanbei catch the fish, eat together with Hanbei's family, and it's the first time he felt love and can trust someone. But this didn't last long. Some ninja from the tribe which he worked for seems to hunt him in the island, and destroyed everything that he had there...

This movie has alot of slow motion effect. Some of the action scenes looks like the Matrix or chinese kung-fu movie 8D But with the setting, clothing, and stuff you still feel Japan culture on it. hahaha. There are some inhuman scene for instance like when the pirate killed so many sharks and some mutilation happening here. But some people I bet will see it funny, lol.
